Gabi & Brad

After reading Gabi and Brad's recollections of getting together, it was like reading a script of a brilliant love story. Gabi was on a school exchange from Hungary and Brad was a student at her school. Two teenagers, madly crushing on each other, yet so crippled with shyness that neither one of them made the first move. Long glances and wistfully wanting each other from afar. One fateful day there were no seats on the bus besides one at the back where Brad used to always sit, he wasn't there so Gabi sat there. A few minutes later, Brad stood at the front of the bus and saw who was sitting in his spot. Gabi. So he made his way down the bus aisle and sat next to her, starting their first conversation.
It was like the universe had had enough and pushed Brad down that bus aisle and into that seat. But getting to know Gabi and Brad's story more I believe, if it didn’t happen that day- It would have been another.

Their story is one of destiny. Maybe they had past lives together and in this life, they had lessons to learn and overcome.

One being patience, as they spent so much time apart when Gabi had to move back to her native home. Having to form a bond and connect, not physically but through words written down and said to each other online. No matter what difficulties they faced, they always chose love. They always chose eachother.

Witnessed by Brad's parents and grandfather, Gabi and Brad exchanged their vows and we celebrated their love in a visual delight of the backdrop of bushand at Allview Escape Blue Mountains.
Every word was treasured. I think we all had goosebumps and felt the electricity in the air.
